A headless Shopify storefront for a Miami florist, with a bouquet builder that shows customers their arrangement before they buy it.
The challenge
A custom bouquet is the hardest thing to sell online: the customer is asked to pay for something they cannot see yet, and every combination is a different product with a different price. Nothing off the shelf handles that.
Overview
Flowers by Ruiz is a Miami florist selling handcrafted arrangements for gifts, celebrations and everyday gestures. Flowers are bought on feeling, so the store had to look as considered as the work leaving the shop, and still take payments like a real e-commerce.
We designed and built the storefront on Next.js with Shopify headless behind it, so the catalogue, stock and prices are the florist's real ones and the checkout is Shopify's hosted, PCI-covered flow. On top of it we built Bouquet Studio, where a customer picks style, size, colours, wrapping paper and extras, sees a generated preview of that exact bouquet, and adds it to the cart at a signed, server-priced quote. An offers panel lets the florist publish promotions without touching the code.
The result
A storefront where the catalogue, the custom builder and the checkout are one flow, the customer sees the bouquet before paying, and every custom price is resolved on the server against the real Shopify catalogue.
